Tell us how your work is made.

I have spent 8 years honing my skills through education, coursework and self-study. I have learnt various techniques such as metalworking, stone setting, and etching to create intricate and unique pieces of jewelry. I can draw inspiration from nature, art, culture, and personal experiences, translating these inspirations into wearable art. Choosing the right materials is crucial to complete the visualized design. I work with a wide range of metals like gold, silver, and alloys. I select gemstones based on their quality, color, cut, and suitability for specific designs. I attempt to meticulously craft jewelry pieces using a combination of traditional techniques and modern tool by cutting, shaping, solder, and polishing metals, setting gemstones securely to create aesthetically pleasing and durable jewelry. This involves understanding the client's vision, sketching designs, and bringing those designs to life with exceptional craftsmanship

What makes you passionate about the medium you work with?

My life as a jeweler has been fascinating and intricate journey, filled with creativity, craftsmanship, and a daily increased passion for working with precious metals and gemstones as well as meeting and creative designs for fabulous people. I have the best job that I could have. I wake up every morning saying to myself asking ‘what do I get to do today’. I wish that everyone could have such a fulfilling work life! Our customers are not just wearing jewelry; they are adorning themselves with pieces of nature, infused with the spirit of my hikes and the cultural influence of Asian design. My creations serve as a reminder of the beauty of simplicity, the richness of diverse cultures, and the awe-inspiring wonders of the natural world.

What is something unique about you or your practice?

My jewelry work is a captivating fusion of minimalism and intricate Asian design elements, creating pieces that are both elegant and culturally rich. Drawing inspiration from Asian aesthetics, I incorporate clean lines, subtle curves, and delicate details into the designs, reflecting the essence of simplicity and sophistication. What sets my creations apart is the use of unique stones collected during my hikes across the diverse landscapes of the United States. Each stone, sourced from nature, carries its own story and energy, making my jewelry pieces not just accessories, but tangible connections to the natural world. These stones add an organic, raw element to your minimalist designs, grounding them in the beauty of the earth.
